Summary of the organisation’s activities . - Popularization of land , forest , mining and family codes in DR Congo. - Monitoring of management of the forests resources and the Rights of the indigenous people. - Schooling the Pygmies’ children. - Pleading in favour of the pygmies’ families expelled without allowances and compensations from their ancestors’ lands which were turned into national parks. - Activities of self-promotion for the pygmies’ families. - Necessary steps to acquire the lands in favour of the pygmies’ families. - Psychosocial and legal accompaniment of the pygmies women and girls, victims of sexual violence. - Education of the indigenous pygmies to the civic rights, to democracy and to the electoral process; - Communication – information to the pygmies families. - National and international lobbying about the rights of indigenous Pygmies in DRCONGO, in this case we make two international requests: the first one was to the inspection panel of the World Bank on October 30,2005. The second was to the committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on June 29,2006 Note that: The Center of Accompaniment for Indigenous Pygmies and Vulnerable Minorities “CAMV” is an indigenous non-profit organization. It was founded because a group of educated Pygmies observed the extreme difficulties lived by their fellow Pygmies, as well as all people: ignorance, poverty, extreme illiteracy, social discrimination and segregation, exploitation, lack of consideration in society, expulsion from the forest, deforestation, and other problems. In searching for solutions to these problems, this group formed the Center of Accompaniment for Indigenous Pygmies and Vulnerable Minorities, in abbreviation “CAMV”, on February 29, 1995 at BUKAVU/ - Democratique Republic of Congo. Creation: February 29th 1995 (DR Congo) and functions under Licence just. GS 112/S-KV/608/87 of September 26th, 1997 of the Provincial Division of Justice and Seal-guar of South-Kivu / Democratic Republic of Congo et a reçu la personnalité juridique par l’arrêté ministériel n° 067/CAB/MIN/J/ 2007 du 05 février 2007 du ministre de la Justice de la République Démocratique du Congo. CAMV has just obtained the consultative status of United Nations (ECOSOC) :2003
