    Organizational structure: The ICCT was established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2005 and has been involved with international projects throughout its history. As a public charity, an active eight-member Board of Directors governs the ICCT. An advisory Council of Participants, consisting of top regulators from around the world, help guide ICCT's work. The ICCT has 30 staff working in offices in Washington, DC and San Francisco, CA and Brussels, Belgium.
    Number and type of members: The ICCT consists of an advisory Council, a global group of around 30 experts with decades of regulatory experience in the largest transport markets around the world. An eight member board of directors, with backgrounds in academia, regulatory organizations, and NGOs governs the organization, with input from staff and the Council.
