STRUCTURE OF THE ORGANIZATION
1. General Assembly (GA)
2. Board of directors (BOD)
3. Executive Director (E.D)
1. General Assembly (GA)
a. The General Assembly is aimed to consult with
CDA to implement its activities.
b. The General Assembly is the top point of the
management pyramid of CDA.
c. The General Assembly members are Development preferring people who are willing to play a lion share in giving a hand to CDA to continue doing in concert; they also make financial contribution to CDA in accordance with its membership policy.
d. The General Assembly holds an independent general meeting one a year, the GA holds an extra-ordinary meeting if two third (2/3) of its members request one. Also 2/3 of the BOD can request to hold an extra ordinary meeting.
e The responsibilities of the G. Assembly are:
1. Approving the decisions of the BOD
2. Approving the constitution and membership policies
3. Monitoring whether the previous plans has been implemented or not
4. Contributing to the design of the plan for the next year.
f Dismissal of the GA membership is by :
1. Vote of the GA members by at least 2/3 of all members
2. Not attending the general meetings of the GA.
3. Death
4. Resignation.
2. Board of Directors (BOD):
a. The BOD is composed of 5 members elected by
the G. Assembly. Chairperson and the vice
chairperson are among the BOD.
b. The BOD’s purpose is to provide organizational
leadership.
c. BOD comes through free election, which happens once in every year,
d. The BOD term is One year but they can be re-elected for another term.
e. Responsibilities of The BOD:
1. BOD has the right to announce the executive director and proposing membership issues
2. BOD makes follow up to the outcomes of CDA’s GA meetings.
3. BOD approves all organizational procedures, subscription fees and Budget.
4. BOD is answerable to GA
f) Cessation of The BOD:
1. Resignation
2. Death
3. Dismissal by the GA by 2/3 vote of all members. (The chairperson and the Vice chairperson will undergo the same cessation process as any of the other BOD members.)
4. Responsibility of the chairperson:
¿ acts as the head of the BOD
¿ acts as the spokes person of the Organization
¿ chairs the BOD and GA meetings
5. Executive Director (E.D)
a) E.D is answerable to the BOD
b) He/she will be present as long as the BOD is satisfied with his activity
c. The responsibilities of the executive director are:-
1.To represent the organization when signing an agreement on behalf of CDA
2.To announce the heads of the departments and projects
3.To promote CDA and to ensure good relationship with the community, the government and international organizations
4.To report monthly on all activities to the BOD.
d. Cessation of the executive director member is by: -
1. Dismissal by the BOD
2. Resignation
3. Death.
6. Management Group
a. The purpose of the management group is to implement CDA’s daily activities
b. The management group is hired by the executive Director according to their knowledge and experience
d. The responsibility of the management group are:
1. Implementing daily activities
2. managing the departmental activities
3. Helping the executive director in achieving his objectives.
d) They meet once in every week, but they can have an extra-ordinary one if needed.
e) Cessation of the management group membership is by:
1. Dismissal by the executive director
2. Death
3. Resignation. |
Number and type of members: |
: MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
¿ Non profit making and voluntary preferring community development and who can share the objectives of the organization and strictly observe its code of conduct will be eligible to apply the membership of CDA Organization.
¿ Granting of the membership is under the prerogative of the BOD and approval of the GA.
Membership conditions:
¿ an applicant fulfilling the above conditions willing to become a member of CDA organization must submit the following documents to the BOD as request for membership:
¿ A written application form
¿ His/her knowledge background and experience
Having fulfilled the above requirements and received a letter of acceptance from the CDA organization, the applicant shall:
1. Prepare for the payment of the registration fee
2. Subscription fees with in specified time frame.
Cessation of Membership:
¿ Incase member acts contrary to the constitution and the code of conduct of CDA organization. The organization will give the concerned member a written warning notice, if s/he obtains three warning; s/he will lose his/her membership.
¿ Automatically following the non-payments of subscription fees for four consecutive months.
¿ resignation
¿ death
¿ Direct dismissal by the GA by 2/3 majority of all members for the follow of his/her disturbance to the organization. |
