4.0 STRUCTURE ( REPRINTATIVES AND LEADERSHIP )
MAS is governed by a General Assembly and an Executive committee. The General Assembly shall be the autonomous authority of MAS
Power which shall meet once a year and in the event of any emergency warranting such meetings.
Executive Committee is a leadership board of MAS elected by the General Assembly.
4.1 MAS GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The MAS General Assembly shall;-
a.) Carry 2 votes for MAS and I vote for affiliated societies or organizations
b.) Discuss the Executive Committee’s reports
c.) Receive and scrutinize the progress report prepared by the Executive Committee.
d.) Elect office Bearers forming the Executive Committee
e.) Approve or refuse the Membership of new members
f) Amend the constitution
g.) Adopt all, audited and general reports
h) All decisions of the MAS Assembly shall be taken by a simple majority of its Members presents and voting
i.) Half (1/2 ) of the total number of members shall constitute a quorum of the
General Assembly.
4.2 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Executive Committee consists of the Founder member and the office Bearers;
Chairman/chairperson, secretary and Treasurer whose terms are three years.
4.2.1 The duties of the Executive Committee are as follows:
4.2.2 Chairman
a.) Chief Executive of the Society
b.) Spokesman of the organization
c.) Submits reports to the MAS General Assembly.
d.) Recruit or employ society’s staffs and volunteers.
4.2.4 Secretary
a.) Keeps a;; records of the society
b.) Fictional Manager of the society
c.) Takes minutes during the meetings
d.) Prepares the societies reports.
4.2.4 Treasurer
a.) Keeps the records of the society’s finances
b.) Prepares finance’s audit statements and reports.
c.) Does general management of the Society’s finances.
4.2.5 Founder member and Founder-patron
This pioneer group is automatically chide advisors of the office bearers and are also
Assistant and operational officers of the Executive committee.
The Founder-patron, the First man to give and start the ideas of the society shall
Remain a permanent overseer of the society unless otherwise found unfit. He can be
Elected as office bearer more than two terms; while other members are not allowed. |
