Mission statement:
Global Health International Institute is an humanitarian, multi professional, non-governmental organization which aims to promote Public Health in Africa and worldwide. It is inspired by the leadership and the devotion to social and liberal causes of Senator and 38th U.S. Vice President of U.S., Hubert Horatio Humphrey (The Happy Warrior "initiator of the Peace Corps). Indeed, for the initiator of the Peace Corps, it is important to enhence the responsibility of citizens to serve the development of nations. It is under these values that Global Health International Institute was created and is active in the field of public health. Gh2i is created in 2008 in U.S. and has the slogan: "Competence in the service of Public Health”. Affiliate to Global Health Council since 2009, Gh2i has been duly registered under number 1109 dated March 25, 2010, within the Ministry of Territorial Administration, Decentralization and Local Government of Togo. It aims to: a. Mobilize and build capacity and skills of health professionals; b. Supporte Governments efforts in the improvement and promotion of "health for all"; c. Promote access to “Health for all" by reducing disparities between population groups and between geographical areas; d. Promote the application of scientific knowledge for the protection and promotion of health in communities; e. Encourage and support professional exchanges between universities, institutes, hospitals and between North and South. Thus, it works with governments, local universities and other institutions and national and international agencies engaged in promoting health, preventing disease and improving quality of life, by implementing an organized policy development, planning, scientific research, monitoring and evaluation, education and health training. Our areas of intervention are: a. Training and Research in Public Health, b. Health promotion and prevention of noncommunicable diseases , communicable diseases and Tropical Negleted diseases, c. Relief and prevention of infectious diseases in case of disasters and catastrophes, d. Promoting, North-South and South-South, medical partnerships e. Expertise in planning, monitoring and evaluation of projects and programs in Public Health.
