Mission statement:	SALIN is a developmental youth-led group with a research-related focus to ensuring the domestication, advocacy, implementation and training platform concerning poverty reduction in Nigeria;Perfecting the growth, development and sustenance of the Poverty Reduction Strategic Paper (PRSP)of the country via research and collaboration with all sectors responsible for the alleviation of poverty, reduction of corrupt practices and development and implementation of of good policies and best practices. Core Team supports the following as its’ major goals: 1) Increase Collaboration – Through facilitated collaborative learning the field leaders identify and take action on emerging opportunities to work together across traditional sector boundaries. Participation in this environment increases organizations capacity to collaborate broadly and engage in strategic partnerships. 2) Increase Exposure – The rapidly growing visibility of NGO’s and CBO’s on the communal and national stage presents an opportunity for youth, student, and young professional organizations. The network is a doorway for these organizations to increase their exposure to partner with like-mind organizations and at large scale domestic and international forums. 3) Increase Impact - The primary goal of strategic partnership and collaboration is to enable individual organizations to achieve their missions more effectively and in a more sustainable fashion. Participation in the network supports groups to optimize their capacities through collaboration with other willing groups.
