* Sustainlabour participates in UN environmental negotiations as part of the ITUC (International Trade Union confederation), which has a constituency status. * Between 2007 and 2013, Sustainlabour developed a joint program with UNEP implemented in two phases: 'Labour and Environment' (2007-2010) and 'Towards Green and Decent Jobs' (2011-2013). The program reached more than 1,000 trade unionists from 87 countries and more than 202 trade unions. * In 2013, Sustainlabour starts a new project with UNEP in cooperation with the Division on Technology, Industry and Economics (DTIE), under the Partnership of Action on Green Economy (PAGE): 'A Just Transition towards Sustainability' (2013-2014). * Sustainlabour participates actively in the SAICM process, and approved two programs under its QSP Trust Fund: 'Enabling workers and workplaces for SAICM implementation', for Brazil, Chile and Uruguay (2080-2010) and 'Strengthening trade union capacities in promoting sustainable management of chemical', for El Salvador, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic (2011-2013). * Sustainlabour works in partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO), in particular with ACTRAV (the office for workers activities) and with the Green Jobs initiative. |
