• CREPD is an NGO based in Cameroon head by a Coordinator and composed of 02 departments:
1 - The department of Education
2 - The department of Environment and Sustainable Development
I- The department of Environment and Sustainable Development
Has a special focus on the promotion of :
1- Sound chemicals management with particular emphasis on heavy metals (Pb, Hg, and Cd) in daily used products
2- Sound management of wastes containing POPS (hospital waste)
3- Sound agricultural practices
Main related Activities: Carrying out immediate actions to reduce the risk to human health and the environment posed by heavy metals (Pb, Hg, and Cd) and other harmful chemicals

• 1-Participation to the review of the scientific information on lead and cadmium
• 2-Evaluation of the quantity of lead from used lead acid batteries in Cameroon between 1992 and 2005
• 3-Review of the manuscript on the "Study on the possible effects on human health and the environment of the trade of products containing lead, cadmium and mercury in Africa"
• 4- Environmental and Socio-economic assessment of Artisanal Gold Mining field: Case of Bétaré-Oya, East-Cameroon
• 5- Quantification and characterization of discarded batteries in Yaounde, from the perspective of health, safety and environmental protection
• 6- Organization and capacity-building activities to promote safer management of toxic chemicals in cosmetics and related products in Yaoundé, Cameroon
