Mission statement:
The Global Forum for the Defence of Human Rights Association Cameroon. (GFDHRAC) is a non governmental Organisation (NGO) created by Prefectoral Order No:921/G.37/D.14/1/vol.10/BAPP of 07 November 2006 and affiliated to the National Commission on Human Rights and Freedom Reg.No:010/07/NCHRF/SW/RS of 1st march 2007 bringing together Human beings of good morals and who are working for the fight against Human Rights abuse and peace without distinction such as religion, sex, colour, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, posterity, birth or other status. Accredited to observe elections in Cameroon by Ministerial Order No: 0000763/A/MINATD/SG/DAJ of 5th October 2011in which a total of 95 Observers were employ to observe the last Presidential Election of 9th October 2011.The Headquarters of the Association is in Limbe and it is headed by an Executive Director. A young dynamic, agile, intelligent, smart and proactive jurist. He waded himself into a crisis of defending the oppressed. His one sole ambition is to reposition the country’s human rights for goals oriented results. A simple and progressive minded person with an enviable professional track recorded that trails him like a garment. At moment the Association has thirteen national branches: - Limbe, Yaoundé, Kumba, Muyuka, Idenau, Enyenge, Mudeka, Douala, Mbiako, Soulaba, Yoyo, Manoka, Kange Fishing port and representatives in Brazil,China,Britain and South Africa.The Association is affiliated with the following Organisations: - National Commission on Human Rights and Freedom – Cameroon - Organisation for Assistance of Unemployed Youths in Africa with headquarters in Brazil. OBJECTIVES: - Help build democratic institutions and to ensure free and fair elections. - To educate the masses about Human Rights Activities. - To promote good governance and restorative justice. - To fight against child abuse, slavery, women emancipation etc. - To educate the public on the existence of HIV/AIDS.
