  • Mission statement:
    Year established:
    Year of registration: 2011
Organizational structure: We registered as a non-profit 527 organization in 2011 and changed to a 501c4 in 2014. Though it has operated as an educational 501c4 organization since its founding, NPA maintained 527 political organization status thorough 2013 to keep open the option of becoming a political party. In January 2014, the NPA applied to IRS for 501c4 status as an educational organization. The IRS later granted our status as a 501c4. The reasons we did this is it more accurately reflects our organization and the administrative requirements are less. We are not corporate funded and must rely on our volunteers and contributions. We remain focused on educating the public about Progressives, candidates' adherence to its tenets, and inspiring a new Progressive Era in the United States. Annual Reports, our charter, and Public comments to Federal Agencies in keeping with the Unified Platform are on our website under "More" We do not accept money from corporations to avoid their influence.
Number and type of members: We are volunteers and have ratified our platform which sets out our goals. (See http://newprogs.org/) So far we are allied with eighteen other organizations and always expanding.
Affiliation with NGO networks: 33 Allies, A current list is on our website at http://newprogs.org/
    Funding structure:
  • Membership fees or dues
  • Product sales and business services
  • Donations and grants from domestic sources
