Organizational structure: |
The HSRC is a statutory research organisation established by a South African Act of Parliament. It is recognised as a National Public Entity. Its governing body is a Board consisting of experts, appointed by the Minister of Science and Technology following a public nomination process as outlined in the Human Sciences Research Council Act, No 17 of 2008. Its Chief Executive Officer is selected and appointed by the Board, and serves as ex officio member of the Board. The HSRC research portfolio arranged according to a number of research programmes. Research administration and support services are provided by staff appointed in research as well as dedicated support units. |
