ICCP operates on the basis of consensus decision making between the membership. One of the hallmarks of ICCP’s success has been its approach; to manage rather than react to the issue This has allowed ICCP to provide more effective input into the process at its earliest stages, and provided opportunities for greater dialogue with decision makers.
Through its long history of engagement with the issue ICCP has earned a seat at the decision making table through two decades of involvement in every stage of the domestic and international policy process. |

Organized in 1991 as small group of large companies, ICCP is the first industry group organized to address the issue of global climate change.
ICCP holds the belief that the science behind global climate change is not up for dispute, that its effects are real, and its impacts are already being experienced. |
