    Organizational structure: StreetNet International is a democractic membership based organisation. It affiliates organisations of street, market and cross-border traders. It has an international congress every three years where all affiliates who are in good standing with their affiliation fee payments are entitled to send delegates, the number of whom is based on the size of the organisations' membership. It elects an international council at the Congress comprising 15 members, with 50% women's membership. It has an Executive Committee which is regionally based and meets every 3 months.
    Number and type of members: At its last Congress in Benin, in August 2010, it had 35 affiliated organisations, from 30 different countries, in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe, with a paid up membership of around 300,000 members.
