Organizational structure: |
The World Justice Project (WJP) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization with offices in Washington DC and Seattle (USA), Mexico City and Singapore. The organization is governed by an eleven-member board of directors with members from Brazil, Bulgaria, Gambia, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, South Africa, Tunisia, and the United States. Four US-based officers further contribute to the volunteer leadership of the organization. Thirty-eight prominent global leaders serve as honorary chairs for WJP providing a wealth of expertise on key strategic issues. Twenty-eight strategic partner organizations provide global leadership in a variety of disciplines. WJP was founded in 2006 as a presidential initiative of the American Bar Association by William H. Neukom. The organization became an independent 501c3 nonprofit organization in 2009. In addition to being WJP’s Founder, Mr. Neukom serves as its President and CEO. WJP has a total of twenty-seven full-time staff working from Washington DC, Seattle, Mexico City and Singapore. |

WJP is not a membership organization. WJP's constituency consists of participants at WJP events, strategic partner organizations, honorary chairs, a consortium of scholars, board members, expert respondents to our annual survey, and stakeholders across the world who are interested in rule of law issues. WJP's network currently numbers over 12,000 people in more than 150 countries. |
