Mission statement:	MUCD is a non-profit civil society organization, not affiliated to any religious association or political parties that now work in four areas: drawing attention to victims of crime, promoting a culture of lawfulness, requirement and liaison with authorities, and drug policy. Our activities have revealed widespread public agreement on the need to re-think Mexico’s security policies and to actively engage in the construction of a safer, liveable country in which both citizens and the authorities respect the law and allow justice to be done. Our mission is to unite society and be a link with the authorities to join forces for security, legislation and justice. Our vision: To achieve a society in which every individual can evolve and age with security and tranquility. We work to encourage citizens to actively commit to the rule of law, to be aware of their social responsibility, and to demand that authorities and institutions, too, respect the law and are honest and effective in matters of security and justice. Our aims 1. Demand and evaluate specific actions from the authorities regarding security and justice, and actively collaborate with them. 2. Achieve transparency and accountability from our authorities. 3. Promote the creation and implementation of programs on crime prevention, public safety and law enforcement. 4. Provide legal advice and psychological support to victims of crime. 5. Inform the debate and advocate for drug policy reform. Principle areas of work Requirement and Liaison with authorities: Our aim is to get the authorities to take necessary action to prevent and punish delinquency, as well as contribute with specific actions.

Organizational structure:	The organization counts with a board of directors (8 members elected for a period of 5 years, one of which is our President), an office General Coordinator and Programme Coordinators. Decisions are made in this order. At present, MUCD has 4 different programmes: Culture of Lawfulness, Attention to Victims, Government Relations and Drug Policy.
Number and type of members:	MUCD is ran by a board composed by 8 people, 1 general coordinator, 4 programme coordinators and has permanent staff of around 30 people.
Affiliation with NGO networks:	Cumbre Ciudadana, Observatorio Ciudadano de Seguridad, IDPC
Funding structure:	Grants from Governments Donations and grants from domestic sources
