Organizational structure: |
ISSTD is a membership-based professional non-profit organisation. Members elect 13 office bearers to a Board of Directors. Principles of good governance are consistently adhered to. Various volunteer committees and a scientific committee further the objectives of the organisation. |
Number and type of members: |
1240 on 31 October 2015 Membership is open to individuals interested int he study of chronic/complex trauma and dissociative disorders. Regular or Full membership is open to professionals primarily involved in the provision of services, research, education, scholarship, writing or public policy in an area related to trauma and dissociation. Members who are mental health or health care providers must be either licensed professionals, trainees or interns in mental health professions who are practicing under the supervision of a licensed professional, or qualified within the accepted legal or cultural standards for conducting clinical practice in his or her locale. |
