Mission statement:
The World Yoga Community (WYC) is a non-profit organization in the United States of America as well as in India. It is registered under the name “World Yoga Community Inc.” which is a Not-For-Profit Charitable Corporation with tax-exempt status 501(c)(3) in New York (State), the USA since June 12, 2015, which is Associated with United Nations Department of Global Communications and is also registered under the name “World Yoga Community,” which is a Public Charitable Trust and Religious Trust in Kerala (State), India since March 9, 2017 (Only registered). They are both non-membership organizations and collaborate with individuals, community groups and other NGOs. World Yoga Community’s Board of Trustees, Advisors, and Volunteers are serving international communities without receiving any monetary benefits. This organization attends meetings regularly at the United Nations in addition to sharing experiences with others on a grassroots level through the World Yoga Community’s meetings, events, festivals, and social media. World Yoga Community’s mission is to promote and establish all aspects of Yoga globally without any discrimination and to create, support, promote, organize, develop, teach, and establish events, workshops, seminars, lectures, meetings, festivals, celebrations, classes, spiritual sadhana (advance practice) camps, conferences, exhibitions, retreats, intensive training, courses, research, visits and tours related to Yoga, Meditation, Vedic teachings of India, universal spirituality and philosophy, a global culture of peace, spiritual arts, music and dance, interfaith and inter-religious dialogues, global social harmony as well as human values, human dignity, universal oneness, wisdom and wellness. Additionally, this organization aims to share knowledge of spiritual awareness, wellness and holistic health for the individual, yogic and Vedic lifestyles or teachings, organic and natural ways of life and international integrative exchange of social and cultural activities, total literacy, environmental protection, and climate change, global social and cultural development goals, protection of global indigenous knowledge and eradication of poverty. We are planning to accomplish this by printing and publishing books, magazines, pamphlets, periodicals, spiritual or literary works, audio-visual media, social media, etc. World Yoga Community’s goal is to create, develop, organize, establish and run community centers or ashrams, Satsang groups, Clubs, Gurukulam(s), School(s), College(s), investigation laboratories, mobile dispensaries, OPD clinics, health centers and hospitals, Universities of Yoga and the Science of wholeness, and other traditional and modern Yogic Sports and Arts, Martial Arts, Spiritual Arts, Traditional Arts, Drama, Music, Dance, including but not limited to ancient, modern and holistic living and wellness to benefit all people. Also, this organization is bringing together various spiritual, religious leaders and scholars on World Yoga Community’s platform in order to propagate a global culture of peace and harmony, integrate divergent philosophies, ideologies, and sciences in the light of a Higher Truth, and spread the universal wisdom. World Yoga Community is promoting universal family (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam) values and culture and establish love, gender equality, non-violence, human values, selfless service, and cooperation among individuals and different ethnic community groups in consonance with the principles and teachings of international enlightened masters and leaders, who have contributed to the world. To learn, practice, develop and establish all Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as future development goals from the United Nations for the betterment of global social development.

World Yoga Community has a President, Secretary-General, Joint Secretary, Treasurer in the Executive Board of Directors in New York, USA and a Chairman, General Secretary, Treasurer in Kerala, India. In both countries, we have a minimum of two board meetings a year. WYC has an international advisory board, council and volunteer team. We are planning to expand our organization and affiliated centers in different countries.
