The 5-member Executive of the First Nations Summit is elected every two years by First Nations in British Columbia. At duly convened elections, Task Group members and Co-Chairs are elected by First Nations and tribal groupings that are participating in treaty negotiations, and as well as by those First Nations that have provided a letter to the Co-Chairs of the Summit indicating their support for the treaty process |

The members of the First Nations Summit are those First Nations and tribal groupings that are participating in treaty negotiations with the governments of Canada and British Columbia, and as well those First Nations that have provided a letter to the Co-Chairs of the Summit indicating their support for the treaty process. There are 150 members from British Columbia, Canada and 7 members from the Yukon and Northwest Territories, Canada. |
