Organizational structure: |
The International Council for Small Business (ICSB) serves as an umbrella organization that integrates the activities of diverse organizations and professionals who deal directly with small business. An international organization of over 2000 members, it creates and distributes new information on small business management and entrepreneurial development. Ideas drawn from government, education, and commerce are provided to the small business community through the efforts of Council members. |

ICSB is an affiliate-based organization, in which all members of an affiliate organization are also members of the ICSB. There are currently 14 affiliates and 5 chapters of the ICSB. The ICSB embraces the following four pillars: Researchers, who provide the evidence upon which decisions about small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurship can be made; Policy makers, who are responsible for the road map for supporting entrepreneurship and SME development; Practitioners and business service providers, who help to nurture SMEs and facilitate entrepreneurship, through their advice and support; Educators, who facilitate learning related to entrepreneurship and starting and/or running diverse ventures. |
