Mission statement:	OCEAN is working for through Advocacy, Capacity Building, Research, and consultancy Services and strategic alliances for empowerment of men and women empowerment, communities and institutions for sustainable development. VISION;  To be a leading centre for promoting innovative trends, which will foster a functioning connected community capable of providing essential capacity building services for addressing community developmental needs.  To be an efficient self-sustaining platform committed to the promotion of advocacy on democratic principles, environmental management practices and gender equity for sustainable development GUIDING PRINCIPLES AND VALUES  Transparency and Accountability: OCEAN has an ethical obligation to conduct its activities in an accountable and transparent manner. This helps to inspire confidence in our partners and donors.  Team Work: OCEAN encourages team spirit and team work to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Organizational structure:	Decisions in OCEAN are made in accordance with the chain of leadership as provided by the constitution. The AGM (Annual General Meeting) is the highest policy body of Forum and will have to approve all major policies and decisions. Forum has a board of trustee who holds the organization in-thrust and a governing board who oversees the entire forum and reports to the AGM. The management team of CBD-NGO Forum is headed by a Programme Coordinator who sees to the day to day activities of the Forum and reports to the governing board.
