COC Organisational structure Citizen Outreach Coalition is governed by a board by a seven person board of directors/trustees They created the charity and are responsible for adopting its rules and regulations and make/amend policy and make policy and operational decisions usually through majority vote. It has members who pay an annual fee to belong to the organization. The organisation has bylaws establish how meetings are called, what constitutes Staff. When necessary, COC hires staff to carry out specific duties for remuneration. If a member of the organization has the necessary skills, he can apply for the position which has to be advertised publicly and take part in an open and independent interview process. Teamwork is the watch word in the organisation. COC works with a wide range of volunteers some of who have to be trained when necessary, to carry out their functions. COC has a chairman, Secretary General, Treasurer, Financial Secretary and Public Relations officer all of whom help in the daily activities and projects of the organisation. Operations. COC can, when necessary, carry out operations that might generate income. When this happens, any surplus will be re-invested in the organisation. |
