Board of Directors – CREAW’s organogram sets out the organization structure roles and responsibilities from the Board down to the secretariat. At the top is an effective Board whose expertise and membership is drawn from human rights advocates, public service, media, finance and investments, academia and educationalists. The board establishes CREAW policies and offers policy direction to personnel to govern the direction of the organization, and ensure its adherence to relevant legal obligations. This is in addition to ensuring that CREAW maintains a code of ethics through sound policies and procedures. All decisions and actions of the board are well documented in minutes kept by the Executive Director who also serves as secretary of the board. Program Management: The CEO heads the management team which comprises herself, Deputy Director in charge of programs, Fundraising and program development manager, Monitoring and Evaluation/ Projects Coordinator, Finance Manager and the Human Resources manager. The management’s role is to implement the policy decisions and directives of the Board and is responsible for resource mobilization, overseeing program implementation and reporting, talent acquisition and management, building, strengthening and managing partner relations, identifying opportunities for strategic growth of the institution, and developing and submitting quarterly progress reports to the Board. Program Implementation Team (PIT): This team comprises program operations staff who include the Project Officers and their assistants, the Legal team and Field officers. These program teams are supported by a host of finance staff, logistics and IT officers who offer accounting, administrative and logistical support. Further, there exists a Communications team who ensures that all project work is well captured and shared both internally and externally for visibility, learning and accountability. Project and support staff comprise the third tier within the organisation and directly report to management which includes their line supervisors. This tier is directly responsible for project implementation, logistics, report writing and outreach activities. |
