Mission statement:	The Global Schoolhouse Initiative is a Not For Profit organization who’s goal is to provide free and sustainable emergency education to refugees and impoverished communities around the world. Our philosophy is to contribute in the development of future generation by education in basic global knowledge and with a focus on peace education and resilience development. Our organization provides unique and free resilience based emergency education to children in impoverished and underserved communities. AS I am sure you know, one of the greatest problems in our world today is the lack of access to a good education. By good education we are not referring to simple math and writing skills, we are referring to the ability to think for oneself, and to be able to apply that critical thinking to a number of new situations . . . the ability to be resilient. This is what makes our program stand apart from the rest. Many other great educational programs fail to address the core issues preventing these high risk children from breaking out of the destructive cycles they often find themselves a victim of. Our global schoolhouses are currently educating over 300 children in Mexico and Uganda combined. We focus on the quality of the program to ensure that these children are able to learn the adaptive skills they need at this very instrumental time in their development. Having lived through much adversity in my life, I am living proof of the power of resilience. This life experience and academic knowledge motivated me to create a program for children who I can really understand and identify with, along with the help of a team of PhD and Masters educators from around the world.
