    Organizational structure: Deltares is an independent institute for applied research in the field of water and subsurface. The organization itself is structured in a so-called 'matrix' format, with six units (Subsurface & Groundwater System; Geo-engineering; Hydraulic Engineering; Marine & Coastal Systems; Inland Water Systems; Deltares Software Centre), 27 departments within the units, 5 supporting departments a scientific council and a board of directors.
    Number and type of members: Deltares employs approximately 850 staff members, both in The Netherlands as well as internationally. We do not have a member structure.
