Mission statement:	Human Rights for Kids is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and protection of human rights for children. We use an integrated, multi-faceted approach which consists of research & public education, coalition building & grassroots mobilization, and policy advocacy & strategic litigation to advance critical human rights on behalf of children in the United States and around the world. Our work consists of: (1) Protecting children from harm; (2) Reforming justice systems to ensure we focus on rehabilitating children who come into conflict with the law; (3) Protecting immigrant, non-native children from harm and discrimination; (4) Promoting access to quality education for all children; and (5) Promoting healthy communities for children to ensure access to housing and health care. Human rights abuses of children are perpetrated around the world by government entities, private companies, and individuals. Central to our mission is documenting and exposing these human rights violations and demanding that the perpetrators be brought to justice and that child victims be provided with care, love, and support. Whether it is the failure of governments to protect children from harm or provide quality education, these issues are interconnected and only by addressing all of them will we begin to eliminate and prevent human rights abuses against children altogether. Critical to our model and theory of change is bringing together experts in various fields to develop solutions to these issues and pressing the need for reform to the public, the courts, and public policy makers. We also work to ensure that every nation state has signed, ratified, and is in compliance with the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child and other applicable international treaties that promote and protect the human rights of children.
