Organizational structure: Our organization structure of governance comprises of a Board of Directors and an Executive Committee. The Board of Directors makes the main decisions of the organization. Decisions are made based on consensus of all members of the Board. This process brings the group to mutual agreement by addressing all concerns to make the decisions in the best interest of the organization. If consensus cannot be reached, the Board will use a two-thirds super majority vote to reach a decision in order to ensure democratic decision making. The Executive Committee is a smaller body, comprised of members of the Board of Directors, that work together to manage day to day organization operations, programs, and finances. The Executive Committee has the power to act on behalf of the full board. Decisions are also made based on the consensus of all members of the Executive Committee. In the rare event consensus cannot be reached, decisions shall be made by a two-thirds super majority vote.
