Organizational structure: |
Pro Criança Cardíaca is a registered non-profit organization based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Organization is overseen by a President and a Vice President, who are assited by an executive director and a medical director. The Organization´s governance structure includes the presidency, the deliberative council, the fiscal council, the advisory council and independent auditors. For 25 years, Pro Criança Cardíaca holds it’s financial statements audited by independent audits which issues consecutives unqualified opinion reports, and all records of its accounts are transparent and online. The Organization has a renowned assistance team accredited by international medical centers, such as the Boston Children’s Hospital and the Brazilian Heart Institute (InCor). |
Number and type of members: |
The Pro Criança Cardíaca includes 40 people working in Rio de Janeiro between Employees, Volunteers and Service Providers. Our team includes doctors, surgeons, dentists, nutritionist, psychologist, social worker and multidisciplinary professionals who contributes to the treatment of children with heart disease. Beside this, the Organization has financial, administrative and communication professionals, responsible for its daily operation. In total, Pro Criança Cardíaca has 7 associate members and 17 counselors, distributed between the Deliberative Council (6 members), the Fiscal Council (3 members) and the Advisory Council (8 members) for a period determined in bylaws, all of them being volunteers and from the most diverse professional branches. |
