    Organizational structure: The Chairperson The AYUC Chairperson holds the highest office in AYUC. She/he is elected for four years by The AYUC congress which is consist of AYUC members (AYUCers). The AYUC Chairperson's rights and duties are set forth in the AYUC constitution, charter, rule books and ToR for executive members of the Commission. AYUC CONGRESS ''General Assembly'' According to the charter and constitution, AYUC General Assembly is the Commission's supreme body. Numerous articles, sections and sub sections dictate which items are to be discussed and which decisions are to be passed at this forum as the legislative body, headed by the Chairperson. EXECUTIVE BOARD As the world-wide Pan African Body of the standing members in Africa and in the Diaspora, AYUC must take into account a wide range of developments and other factors and decide on numerous issues in accordance with the AYUC constitution and regulations. The strategy is determined by the AYUC Executive Board chaired by the Chairperson of AYUC, a forum where senior officials can directly influence the decision-making process since each has its own representation under the AYUC constitution, charter, rule book and charter. The executive's decisions are guided by the recommendations of 24 Board and 211 departments, directorate, commission and consultancy members. COMMISSION Under the Executive Board comes the professional 24 key constitutional officers (Commission and Pivot Offices as administration level to implements the decisions passed by the AYUC General Assembly-Congress through the Executive Board. COUNTRY DIRECTORATES This comprises of AYUC country chapters with a 28-man executive board and not less than 1000 interns (who are to service in various capacities). The interns are to work in specific assignments in line with AYUC continental mandates. In the absence of the Executive Chairperson, all AYUC chapter leadership at the country level is answerable the Continental secretariat through designated officers, answerable to the Deputy Chairpersons in charge of their Regions, General Secretary and/or regional Deputy Secretary Generals and/or the Chief of Staff to the Chairperson. THE SECRETARIAT The secretariats of AYUC is situated in 5 continents and shall be responsible for the day to day running of the Commission in between the sessions of annual General Membership Meetings and be constituted by the following officers; Secretary General, Deputy Secretary, Public Relations Officer, Under-Secretaries, Administrator and Staff members. They shall report directly to the Chairperson via its various Deputy Chairperson.
