The Rights and Resources Initiative is an informal coalition of 15 Partner Organizations who work in areas of their regional and thematic expertise in close to 20 countries throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America. Partners engage with a wide group of collaborators who participate in and support RRI activities. Headquartered in Washington, DC, and registered as a non-profit organization in 2006, RRI is governed by a Board of Directors, who provides ultimate oversight for the functioning and governance of the Initiative. The Board meets two to three times a year and also receives input on governance from regular meetings of the Partners, which often takes place simultaneously with the Board. Partner Organizations are invited by the Board to join the Rights and Resources Initiative through the mutual agreement of a Memorandum of Understanding. |
