Mission statement:
The Movement for Peace -MPDL- pursue a dual objective in its actions: * To promote, spread, encourage and protect the universal principles that uphold peace, disarm, freedom and coexistence of the men and women and peoples, in the framework of the internationally recognized Human Rights. * To act against the inequality and injustice situations by the development cooperation and the social action. To achieve this, it develops these activities: 01 - The deepening of the knowledge, promotion and diffusion of the principles and regulations that rule the relations between different cultures, peoples and nations towards the conflict prevention and negotiated solution and obtaining a more fair social order, founded on the respect of the human rights. 02 - Stimulating awareness through information, education and training, specially directed to the young people, of the values of peace, freedom, solidarity, equality and the right to development. 03 - Executing specific plans of International Cooperation and co-development in the most disadvantaged areas of the world, in the economical, social and cultural spheres as well as in those of security and stability, based on the human being, focused to the fight against poverty and for social justice, committed with equality between men and women, the protection of the environment and the promotion of a sustainable development. 04 - Humanitarian action by actions that contribute to overcome the emergency situations affecting peoples and territories in the areas of the planet shaken by devastation, hunger, disasters or war. 05 - Social action through positive action promoting the integration of people in situation of precarity, rootlessness and social exclusion, specially with women, children, elderly and immigrants, as well as giving reception, asylum and refuge to people coming from countries involved in crisis or conflicts. 06 - Volunteering promotion and the realization of activities for training it. 07 - Promotion, participation and empowering of platforms, forums and networks canalizing the actions of the different civic movements and organizations pursuing similar ends to those of the Movement for Peace. 08 - Cooperation and collaboration with as many national, supranational and international Organisms and Institutions as necessary to achieve its Mission.
