Mission statement:	The African AIDS Fund is an independent, international non-political and a non-lucrative AIDS advocacy, resource and leadership mobilization and a pan-African grant making and capacity building Fund working to promote Africa's regional response to AIDS. The African AIDS Fund's mission is "to promote innovative, effective and efficient interventions for the prevention and social mitigation of the HIV and AIDS epidemic in African societies". The overall goal of the Fund is "to reduce the burden and impact of HIV and AIDS and improve the health and well-being of those most likely to be exposed to the HIV epidemic in local communities on the continent". The African AIDS Fund Group's executive secretariat is currently based in New York, USA, maintaining an international scope and mandate.
