Mission statement:	The IRSHO is the international organization dedicated to network sovereign, royal and princely houses, in actual reigning capacity or as historical national heritage and aimed to mobilize their resources at the service of objectives of development and cooperation. The organization is aware that reigning and sovereign houses and their respective Orders of chivalry could represent a great resource for cooperation and development, accomplishing worldwide many development projects of various nature and underlines the need of a better coordination of such entities, to maximize their humanitarian effectiveness and reduce duplication The IRSHO, furthermore, intends to stay neutral on the issue of juridical recognition of reigning and sovereign houses, which is of exclusive competence of their respective State Systems and desires exclusively to encourage their traditional humanitarian commitment at the service of international cooperation.
