Mission statement:	Gedaref digital city organization (GDCO Sudan) is nonprofit organization founded in partnership with digital city of Eindhoven (DSE Netherlands). It is a public, private & people partnership (PPPP) for community development to achieve the millennium development goals (MDGs). Its Mission is to share and transfer knowledge, best practices with the global community to Gedaref and replicate it in Sudan GDCO received 750 computers from DSE GDCO is the winner of information for development (i4d) awards for three successive years 2007, 2008, 2009 at the e-India conferences Winner of eWorld award 2011 India Winner of best Telecentre album 2011 Philippines Winner of best Sudanese award for civil society working on ICT 2011 Winner of 10.000 US$ Grant from GKPF through ITU for the implementation of the WSIS process GDCO is a semifinalist for the ITU World Telecom Award 2011 Geneva and received a certificate as one of the best digital talent in the world. GDCO is the founder of the first Telecentre academy in Africa and Middle East and the thirteen in world (Sudan National Telecentre Academy – SuNTA).. GDCO is a member in the steering committee in the United Nation, Economic and Social Committee for West Asia (UN-ESCWA) network for marginalized and disadvantage communities in Beirut. GDCO is a member in the global Telecentre movement where people share knowledge, experiences and best practices to bridge the big digital divide. It is strategic partner with ITU for I write 4 WSIS initiative. It attended more than 55 international conference and presented 35 papers. DSE donated 750 computers to GDCO where big win-win public, private and people partnership (PPPP) projects were developed including e-Agriculture, out of school children e-Learning, connecting people with disability (e-Education), supporting Gedaref University Computer Science College with 120 computers and supporting the faculty of medicine with a telemedicine unit to train the medical staff, students and treat sick people online. http://community.telecentre.org/profile/AHMED Telecentres are strong win-win public, people and private partnership. They are strong tools for eradication of the resources of illiteracy and improve the quality of education at reduced costs through ICT. Number and type of members:	GDCO has 105 volunteers but GDCO shares knowledge, experiences and best practices with more than 10.000 individual at different organization. GDCO is UN-Volunteering online. It has more than 30 active members (ICT volunteers) who developed more than ten projects for community development.
