    Year established:
    Year of registration: 1990
Organizational structure: Each member send a representative at the annual Members General Assembly (MGA). The Assembly elects the Executive (9 members included the executive secretary). The executive chooses the President and two co-presidents that form the Presidency. The Executive is responsible for the direction of the Network, the staff of the secretariat and the nomination of the Executive SEcretariat. The Executive sits in Rome and the International Secretariat is in Brussels (Belgium).
Number and type of members: about 50 member congregations.
Affiliation with NGO networks: AEFJN works in Platformes with other NGOs on the different issues of the Plan of Action. We are affiliated with "Echumenical Pharmaceutical Network", with "Plateforme Santé-Solidarité", with "11.11.11", with BecauseHealth...
    Funding structure:
  • Membership fees or dues
  • Foreign and international grants
  • Funding structure other: The members are Catholic religious congregations working in Africa and in Europe; 9 of them were the founding members. The funding structure is very similar to the one existing today, with the difference of increased membership.
