ATSIWLAS has a membeship base of A&TSI women who have their fellow sisters's welfare in mind. While ATSIWLAS is situated in the Turrbal/Yuggerra Clan group area of the Brisbane River Valley there are many women who work in the DV and Legal sector from all over Queensland. These women are 'rooted' in culutre from their own homelands but are equally concerned with the welfare of others who are often made homeless through Domestic and Family Violence. ATSIWLAS has Aboriginal as well as Torres Strait Islander women on its Management Committee and two of our Directors have Human Rights as their active portfolio. |
