Purpose of the organization: Conflict resolution, development of empathy, human rights, gender equality, sustainability and the interwoven dynamics of these elements with economic justice are themes of the teaching methods we are developing. Regional differences are celebrated and harmonized, while we work toward educating for global citizenship.
Activities relevant to the conference of States Parties to the convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Brazilian members are active in a project to bring gardening to the schools providing both an income for the families involved and healthy food, as well as educational benefits for the students. In China, our CEIN founder is working on sustainability issues and gardening with elementary, middle and university students. We are calling these Global Solidarity Gardens, and contrasting the life-affirming work of growing food, the nurturing of life, with the destruction wrought by nuclear weapons.
