Purpose of the organization: We are a degree program where a student can earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Native American Studies. We teach students about the historical and contemporary issues and policies that currently effect Native people i the U.S. and across the globe. Students learn critical thinking, writing, and reflection skills. They learn research and presentation skills. They leave NAS with a foundation of understanding of the impact of colonization and the self-determination of Native people across the southwest U.S., the national landscape of the U.S., and the international issues that affect Indigenous peoples commonly.
