Accreditation to: Indigenous Forum
Affiliation with other organizations: The Center is a research unit of UCLA, and part of UC system.
Publications: "The Center's publications unit operates as a small independent press, one of the few that prizes Native voices in works of creative writing, community handbooks, and academic publications. Our flagship publication is the American Indian Culture and Research Journal (AICRJ), which has been recognized as one of the leading serial publications on Native American life and issues. In addition to publishing works on contemporary and historical American Indian issues, law, and politics, the press publishes books of plays, poetry, and fiction"
Purpose of the organization: "The Center serves as a focal point for scholars, staff, students, and community members. Our research focus is broad and encompasses topics ranging from the contemporary urban Indian experience to issues unique to reservation communities. We seek to balance a local, national, and international focus, with special attention given to California Indian nations. Foundational to our mission is a commitment to facilitating indigenous peoples' distinct social, cultural, economical, political, and legal needs by virtue of their status as native nations."
Activities relevant to the conference of States Parties to the convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Primarily the educational and research support the Center's scholars provide in this area.
Confirmation of the activities of the organization at the regional, national or international level: We work on national level yet with an outreach to international organizations, We also work with international scholars, and at times feature works of scholars from places other than US.

While it has an administrative staff to lead it and coordinate its activities, they are part of the organization on the basis other then membership (professional).
