THE BOARD:A five member of Board of Directors who meets once in every month to delibrate on issues pertaining to the welfare of the organisation governs IVOWED. The Board is headed by a Chairman,who is assisted by a vice-Chairman.There is a General Secretary responsible for the administrative work of the organisation and a Treasurer who is in charge of keeping proper book of accounts. THE SECRETARIAT:The organisation has a secretary that is chaired by the General Secretary who is a part-time staff.There is a recording clerk. The secretatariat has two committes that sees to the implementation of projects designed by the Project Officer and the Board of Directors. These committees report to an Executive Council that is the Supreme Governing body of the organisation.The Secretariat also controls volunteers that disseminate information to members and the grassroots people. PROJECT COORDINATORS:A project coordinator is appointed for each project that IVOWED wish to embark upon. The coordinator liaises directly with the Secretariat and reports to the Board of Directors who also submit final report to the Executive Council. MEMBERS:IVOWED is a membership organisation.In selecting a member,no restrictions is placed on class,sectoral,ethnicity or age.However,a new member must be made to answer a questionaire about his background. |
