NYSASDRI is a peoples organisation which was founded by community people in 1973 and registered with Society Registration Act in 1982. Since then the organisation has began its work from a single village with objective to empower the community and gradually it was grown its wing to 5 million population of Odisha. Now it has a world class Eye Hospital, NYSASDRI School of Journalism and Social Work Academic Institute(managing post graduate course , Residential Primary School for Tribal Girls, etc. The organisation has been collaborating with Local Panchayt Level Bodies, Government Organisations and like minded NGOs to work together for the development of community.
