2. The Board of Trustees
This is made up of selected persons of proven integrity, based on the countries where WIDO operates. The crucial issues that affect the organisation are based on the Board Resolution. The board of trustees advises on the matters that the executives passes to them. This must be issues that require such advice.
3. The executive committee
The executive committee is made up of the Executive Director, General secretary, Financial Secretary, the deputy of each post and State representatives.
4. The General Assembly -
This comprises all members of the organisation as described in statutes 4 above. The General Assembly contributes to the activities of the organisation, especially on matters of general policy.
5. Country Representatives
They are the state representatives that represent WIDO in any of the state WIDO operates. State representatives are elected through rigorous process of interview by the Executive Director and Board of Trustees. They are invested with the responsibility of running their various State activities. They report directly to the Executive Director at the head office. |
Number and type of members: |
Membership is open to any interested person or institution who have the interest of women and children at heart, who because of their difficult position in the society, necessitated the formation of this organisation. WIDO has two categorise of membership.
1. Financial Members: Financial members pay dues and support the organisation financially. They form part of the management organ of the organisation. They are 160 in number
2. Non-financial Members: these are mostly the indigent and poor women that benefits from the organisation services. Total number of non-financial members is 1,563 members |
