Mission statement:	Globalization in the 20th and 21st century gave rise to the importance of Non governmental organizations. Many problems could not solved within a nation, International treaties and internal organization such as World Trade Organization were centered mainly on the interest of capitalist enterprises. In an attempt to counter-balance this trend, Non governmental Organizations have developed to emphasize humanitarian Issues, developmental and sustainable development. Unfortunately, though most Non governmental Organizations fall short of this laudable focus. It is on this bases that VILLAGE FRIENDS INTERNATIONAL is developed to enhance and effect positively the lives of Nigerians who are neglected and wallowing in abject poverty without any way out and who may never see the benefit of the millennium development goals in their consigned villages and rural communities. The Women in the villages and rural communities in Nigeria are the worst hit in terms of neglects and poverty and without basic amenities. Everyday of their lives, these women who by circumstance have become the bread winners, and young girls excavate the ground in other to plant crops both for domestic consumption and for commercial purposes in other to send their children to school. Their situation is our concern; we have decided to come to their aid, to the aid of millions of Women, Young and Old located in these villages and rural communities. Village Friends International (VFI) is a rural driven organization, aimed at Rural development and empowerment of women who are willing and able to improve their living standards through structural programmes. Our focus is on the provision of Tools and Implement in all forms of agriculture that can thrive in their domain ranging from costly crops to animal husbandry. Most of our rural driven projects will be aim at empowerment of Women and sustainable living standard via the provision of tools and implements for farming, since the greater percentage of rural farmers are women. The objectives of Village Friends International among other things include the following: (1) To achieve small scale changes directly through the provision of Tools and Implement for rural women through projects (2) To create agricultural farmlands and improved seedlings to willing and able Women’s (participants). (3) To mobilize financial resources, materials and volunteers to create localized farming programmes in the field. (4) To work in areas where government to government aid is not possible. (5) To influence national and international, multilateral policy involved directly in local action towards the empowerment of rural women. (6) To operate in a hierarchical structure, with a main office(headquarters) staffed by professionals who plan projects, create budget, keep accounts, reports and communicate with operational field-workers who work directly on projects. (7) Mobilize financial resources for the organization through grants and projects. (8) To construct bridges, to navigates farmlands. (9) Flexibility in adapting to local situations and responding to local needs of rural women. (10) Render micro assistance to very poor women and identify those who are mostly in need and tailored assistance to their needs. (11) Work towards the realization of the millennium development goals and improve standard of living in villages and rural settings.

Organizational structure:	ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING AND STRUCTURE STAFFING - Village Friends International is staffed with professionals from all fields of life, very successful and unarguably grounded on their various fields of endeavors. The staff structure comprises males and females both young and middle age that are truly committed to the goal of the organization. Our field officers are locals from areas where project are established. PUBLIC RELATIONS - This department maintains healthy relationship with the public to meet our goals. Organization uses charities and sophisticated public relationship to raise fund and employ standard lobbying techniques with firms, people and grants organizations. MONITERING AND CONTROL Our performance will be measured by how well we fulfill our expectations and not simply by whether we turned in enough black ink on paper without exceeding our deadlines of more than can be handled. Projects will be executed using the most reliable. Efficient method. This department identify, coordinate and monitor projects progress. The project management department, a sub- of this department, will work hand in hand with our legal professionals to ensure successful project implementation. FUNDING – This is predominantly through grants and local sources. TECHNICAL AND RESEARCH Concern with creating new bridges design with assisting rural women with the most modern acquisition of tools and implements and sourcing for financial support etc.
