    Organizational structure: The institutional framework of Fondo Acción is a Directive Council integrated by one representative from the United States of America Government (USAID), two representatives from the Government of Colombia (Ministries of Environment and National Planning) and five civil society representatives. The staff of Fondo Acción or Fondo Acción's Executive directory has three areas: technical, legal, and financial and administrative. The technical area assists project formulation and evaluation, and monitors the implementation of the projects.
    Number and type of members: The Directive Council is integrated by eight members: one representative from the United States Government (USAID), two representatives from the Government of Colombia (Ministries of Environment and National Planning) and five civil society representatives, specifically from the academia, environmental NGOs and childhood NGOs. On the other side, the full time working team is composed of 21 persons, divided into three areas, plus the executive direction which is made up of the Executive Director: the technical area has 9 members, the legal area has 3, and the financial and administrative area has 9 people. Each one of the members of the areas has specialized knowledge on the subjects he or she works with. For example, in the technical area there are environmental engineers, anthropologists, urban architects, economists, biologist and food chemists.
    Affiliation with NGO networks: Latin American and Caribbean Network of Environmental Fund (RedLAC), the Alliance for Colombian Childhood (Alianza por la Niñez Colombiana), and the Union for Ethical Bio Trade.
