    Organizational structure: At the akex of the AWANICh structure is a 3 - member Board of traustees selected fro various regions of Africa and are responsible for intervening resolving issues among members of the gorvernance Board in the event of conflict. The five member Governance Board also drawn fro all the five sub regions of Africa are responsible for overseeing, providing overall policy direction and monitoring quality performance of the secretatiat. The secretariate is headed by the Regional Coordinator whose role is to ensure for overall effective and efficient coordination of AWANICh’s programs and activities and staff as well as the Regional networks in accordance with the structure and responsibilities set out in the official organogram. The Regional Coordinator reports to the Board of Directors. The staff fall under each of the following four departments;- • Capacity Building and Networks coordination. • Resource Mobilization Strategy/Communications and Public Relations • Information Technology, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Knowledge Management • Administration The department of Capacity Building and Networks coordination oversees the coordination of the networks
    Number and type of members: AWANICh has established Active nonviolence networks with over 120 civil Society organizations in 36 countries in four regions of Africa. Members subscribe to AWANICh membership by virtue of participating in our capacity building trainings in gender and Nonviolence. The members in a particular county constitute National networks whiles the networks in a particular sub region make up the regional network. AWANICh therefore has four regional networks namely, West, Eastern central and Southern Africa networks.
    Affiliation with NGO networks: AWANICh is affilliated to the following regional and international organizations;,- West Africa network for Peace Building (WANEP), Global Network of women peace Builders (GNWP) and Global Partnership for the Prevention of armed Conflict (GPPAC)
