The principle entities of the United Roman-Ruthenian Church, in addition to its Apostolic See, are the Catholicate of Rome-Ruthenia, the Pontifical Imperial State, and the Pontifical Walsingham Guard. The Church is led by the Bishop of Rome-Ruthenia, who is also the Papa-Catholicos of Rome-Ruthenia and the Supreme Pontiff of the United Roman-Ruthenian Church. He is elected by the Patriarchal Electors. He is assisted by his household, the Pontifical Court, and the Patriarchal Curia in accordance with ancient tradition of our Faith. Chapels, parishes, missions, oratories, and congregations that exist to serve our special mandate are led by clergy in accordance with Canon Law. Subordinate organizations that help to fulfill our mandate are led by a mixture of elected and appointed officials. The modern Pontifical Walsingham Guard, founded in 2012 and with heritage dating back to the medieval era, is the church’s principal humanitarian service wing. |
Number and type of members: |
