Mission statement:	International American Relief Society (IARS) mission is developing, running and providing emergency relief and supporting development programs in agriculture, economic development, health, housing, water, food security, infrastructure, and strengthening local organizations for countries in need. We also provide basics support to refugee camps, disaster sites, towns and villages disaster preparedness programs with the goal of anticipating and preventing humanitarian crises and working with poor people to overcome poverty through integrated self-development and relief programs. In the Republic of Benin, our goal is to contribute to the eradication of poverty by supporting women and other vulnerable groups in saving lives and building livelihoods, enhancing their resilience to crises, shocks and stresses, and making their voices heard to hold duty-bearers accountable.
