Organizational structure: |
• General Assembly: composed of all the constituent and associate members, it is the supreme organ of the Office. It meets every four years. • Board: composed by 24 deliberative members, representing all the regions, it is elected by the General Assembly. The Board elects its President and Vice-Presidents. Reflection and deliberation group. It controls the implementation of the General Assembly’s decisions. It meets once a year. • The Secretary General: elected by the General Assembly, he organizes and leads the General Secretariat, executive organ of the Office. He coordinates and animates the activity of the Regional Secretariats and Permanent Representations. He represents the Office in its external relations. • The Regional Secretaries: animate the activities of the Office at regional level. Regions are: Africa, with a head office in Dakar (Senegal); America, Bogota (Colombia); Asia, Manila (Philippines); Europe, Brussels (Belgium) and the Middle East and North Africa in Beirut (Lebanon). • Permanent Representatives: with International Institutions are accredited in Paris (UNESCO), Geneva (UNICEF), Rome (Vatican), Strasbourg (Council of Europe) and New York (UN). |
