Organizational structure: |
The General Assembly decides on guidelines for activities of Welthungerhife. Its responsibilities consist in electing the council and approving the financial plan. Members of the Deutsche Welthungerhilfe include the President of the German parliament, the leader of the parties represented in the lower house, and also churches, associations and other organisations. Their delegates attend the annual General Assembly. The Project Committee, consisting of 19 honorary members, advises Welthungerhilfe´s Board of Directors on matters concerning programme policy and contributes with its independent external expertise from science and technology to the quality of the project work. The supervisory Board is volunteer-based and elected for a four year term by the General Assembly. It represents Welthungerhilfe externally and supervises the Executive Board. Morevorer, it determines the organisation´s fundamental positions and strategies. |

Welthungerhilfe has manifold members, among those the president of the German Parliament, the principal chairmen of the political factions of the current parliament, as well as other representatives of the church and public associations and unions. They also attend the annual assembly of members and partners. |
