Mission statement:	The World Blind Union is a worldwide movement of 285 Million blind and partially-sighted people acting on our own behalf to: eliminate prejudice; promote belief in the proven abilities of blind and partially sighted people; and achieve full participation and equality in society. We achieve our mission with and through our members - organizations of blind and partially sighted persons and organizations providing services to blind and partially sighted persons in abut 190 countries and through our six Regional Unions. Our Vision is to live in a community where people who are blind or partially sighted can participate on an equal basis in all aspects of social, economic, political and cultural life. Our Mission is to strengthen the capacity of our members to provide services to blind and partially sighted persons; and to represent and advocate on behalf of blind and partially sighted persons at the international level. We work in four priority areas: Representation and Human Rights; Capacity Building; Accessibility; and Resource Sharing & collaboration
