    Organizational structure: The EED is a body formed by an association of German protestant churches and church-related organisations. These members elect a Governing Board, led by a chairperson. The day-to-day work is managed by the Board of Executive Directors, who are chosen by the governing board, to whom they are responsible.
    Number and type of members: EED is a development organisation of the Protestant Churches in Germany. The members of the EED are the 23 Evangelical regional churches, the Evangelical Church in Germany, the Association of Protestant Churches and Missions in Germany, the Association of Protestant Free Churches in Germany, the Catholic Diocese of Old Catholics in Germany and the Independent Evangelical Lutheran Church. EED is registered in Bonn as a non-profit organisation.
